The aim of this three stage project is to help accelerate awareness and take-up of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda (NUA) worldwide among individuals and groups in the urban professions, education and civil society.

The American Lead Map Collaboratory

The American Lead Map is a collaborative community-based research initiative to create the nation's first crowd-sourced open online map identifying toxic lead hazards in American cities, integrating data from cities in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

CSUD launches new Resilient Coastal Communities Project

The Center for Sustainable Urban Development is starting a new Resilient Coastal Communities Project (RCCP). The RCCP aims to advance one of the four fundamental goals of the Climate School (ie, developing new ways to help coastal communities adapt to a changing climate), in partnership with the New York City Environmental Justice Alliance, through the development and promotion of locally initiated, equitable and rigorously researched strategies for reducing threats to coastal communities and ecosystems from sea level rise and storm events and using a strong environmental justice lens.

Digital Data and Tools for African Transport Researchers

CSUD Co-Director Jacqueline M Klopp along with colleagues from WRI, DT4A (https://digitaltransport4africa.org/), Open Street Map-Ghana, Accra-mobility and UCL held the first session of two virtual classes on "Digital Data and Tools for Transport Research in African cities" supported by the Volvo Research and Education Foundations. It was attended by young researchers from across Africa.
