Hellas is a Research Associate with the Resilient Coastal Communities Project. She holds a Master of Arts in Climate and Society from the Columbia Climate School and received her B.S. in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley. With an interdisciplinary background revolving around climate adaptation and resilience, her experience ranges from climate modeling and transportation resilience to adaptation policy and equitable planning. At Columbia, she focuses on bridging climate science with sustainable adaptation planning processes, working at this intersection to inform local and regional strategy.
